Praise him more, even if there are no particular reasons.

It is not my invention, but recommendation of behavioral specialists. Behavior science is the science of how people behave and more.

Let’s suppose he washed a dish (we are speaking about first days of life together). No matter if he did it bad. Don’t even think of re-washing it in his presence!!! Kiss him. “You are my sweet darling!” Don’t criticize quality of his work. He will learn little by little. One small remark and thirty three praises. This is how you should act. No cries! You can cry while you are in a choir. Go there and cry as long as you want. Curiously enough, carrot policy is more efficient than stick policy. Almost in any case.

About mother-in-law

His mother and friends are taboo for criticism. As least, rough criticism. He often sees his mother and friends, listens to his mom’s advices, cares about her and heeds her remarks about you.

An advice

You should drag him towards yourself slowly, nor dramatically. Be careful. Sometimes ruse of war is a must.

But don’t quarrel with his mother. Let her nag him. How? Place a man gently in front of her once or twice. Let him get beans and then comfort and pity him. It’s kind of “mother is mother, there's nothing out of the ordinary in it.” It's not a big deal. Let him get used to the thought that you are wiser and to the necessity to be on good terms with you!

About beauty

Better be born lucky than rich. Become well-groomed and stylish. Have you ever noticed that when you smile, he smiles, too? When you look great, he looks at you with interest and maybe even with admiration, doesn’t he? A woman can bear untidiness, five o'clock shadow and gloomy expression better than a man. But he loses heart at once, having seen a rumpled dressing gown or having heard a hysterical voice.

An advice

Smile as often as you can! Remember that your smile is the best in the world, and it will be the best one. Care about your appearance, well-groomness and fresh aroma of clean body. Men are like bees: they like honey, but not vinegar. If you look angry, it’s your own fault that he starts “drinking beer” with friends more often. By the way, Cleopatra was UGLY for real. Don’t believe to the Hollywood movie. There is her image and descriptions of historians. And how many good guys lost their heads because of her! That’s what it is.

Postscript

As you see, everything is simple IN WORDS. And what about reality? A husband appreciates me, cares for me. There are many difficulties ahead. Well, so what? I will flick with a “whip” once again. Voilà! My “tender and gentle beast” is at my feet again. These are rules of the game.
