We convince ourselves that our life would become better when we married, delivered a baby and another one…
Then we feel upset about our children being too small and convince ourselves that everything would become better when they grew up…
Then we worry about them becoming teenagers and necessity to handle with them. No doubt, we would become happier when they grew up from their “teen” age. We say that our life would become better when our husband settled out matters, when we had a more beautiful car, when we took a vacation, when we reached retirement… The truth is that there is no perfect time to be happier than now. If not now, then when?
Your life will always be full of challenges. It is better to take everything as is and decide to be happy in spite of everything.
Is seems for a long time that the life is just about to start. The real life. But some obstacle arises all the time, a stern test, which must be passed: work to be done; time to be devoted; bills to be paid.
But then we will live life to the full.
But finally I understood that all these obstacles were the real life.
This understanding helped me to see that there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the Way.
So I enjoy every moment. Stop waiting for leaving school or starting learning; don’t wait for time when you earn 1000 dollars, when you find a job or marry; don’t wait for the evening, Friday, a Sunday morning, a new car, full mortgage payment, spring, summer, autumn, winter, the first or fifteenth day of the month, death, reincarnation… Don’t wait for anything before deciding to be happy. Happiness is the Way, but not the place of destination.
There is no other time for being happy except… NOW!
