Female silliness has at least one valuable quality: it is difficult not to notice it. When a woman smiles cheerfully and tells how silly she is, having been late for a date, it touches you at first. “Poor girl” you think. Then you worry about her and thin how hard it must be to live with such a diagnosis. Or maybe you calm yourself down and think that this girl has a nice sense of humor, and it is a very good quality.

But time passes, and you understand that you’ve made wrong conclusions. She is silly and she feels good. She is safe behind her silliness as if behind a stone wall, so she can keep being a charming muddle-headed driver and being late anywhere she goes. At least, the majority of women act just like that.

“Wait for me at the entry, dear, – says a seemingly adequate women during another Saturday shopping. – You know, I’ve decided to buy that scarf of an indefinite color. I'll be back in no time!”

Then she comes to the parking lot in two hours and you understand that she’s forgotten the way back. She keeps calling and complaining about layout of the hypermarket! It is an old story: she’s turned “the wrong way somewhere”. In general, it’s her favorite direction. For example, she always gets to “the wrong way somewhere”, when she drives car alone, though she has to turn right at the next crossing. And she shouldn’t turn left (you’ve explained it to her about a hundred times).

Of course, it creates problems. Of course, she is your baby and a weaker creature… But why are we speaking about some physical superiority, when she simply has to use her brains? Unfortunately, talks will do no good. It is always unpleasant when somebody points to your mistakes, but it is especially unpleasant for women. They are highly emotional creatures, so they take men’s opinion as a personal insult, and are indignant and aggrieved. So you have to try to control yourself in order not to hurt them. After all, there are no such women who do not do foolish things.

Silliness flying high

Many men are intrigued by female silliness, because it is always different. You even can encounter silliness with good manners and university-level education. For example, I knew a woman who, in my opinion, knew all about every subject under the sun. For example, she knew exactly what and when I needed to eat, how long I had to go in for sports, etc. She also was the best psychologist in the world, so she read me and all my complexes like a book and understood better than me, with whom it I had to communicate.

It should be also mentioned that this woman knew perfectly how to look after herself, so she looked correspondingly. As a matter of fact, I even was happy, until I found out in amazement that she was dropping one and the same bricks with maniac stubbornness, refusing to change or understand anything. This refined beauty was constantly trying to turn me into something average between a poodle and her favorite actor. And she didn’t understand my jokes (I was turning everything into a joke at first) and looked at me as if she saw only darkness and sawdust in my head. Then I offered her to become wiser and forget about her fantasies about an ideal man. She used psychoanalysis in response and explained me why I behaved like an absolute redneck. “Crazy!” – I thought. So I took my guitar and left. We never saw each other again.

It’s your fault

Barbara… This woman left the brightest imprint on my life. It wasn’t the name that impressed me, though it was a wonderful name for a person who painted her hair blue and wore about half a kilo of metal things on her face. We worked in one office.

- I want to part with my boyfriend, – she told me once. – I’ll tell him that I’ve fallen in love with you and can’t do anything about it.

I was perplexed.

- Well, I can’t simply say that I’m tired of him. Michael is very vulnerable!

I tried to convince her not to realize her fabulous plan. She refused. Women make an awful mistake when they argue with men about things, which men know better. And, undoubtedly, I knew better than she how complex my life could become. The whole office was having fun over the circus of battles between Barbara, Michael and me, the accidental victim of female light-mindedness, for almost half a year. My colleagues made stakes, bets and cracked caustic jokes cruelly one after another. Since then female silliness not so much amuses as scares me.

I realized then that this female silliness is very insidious, because it is unpredictable. You never know when it will strike you. A woman may appear to be an angel: she makes soup and macramé or say jokes in three languages. But she spends 2 hours in the bathroom for some reason, and can do shopping almost infinitely. And she just loves to spell things out at the completely wrong time, especially in the evening, when you just falling asleep on the floor next to the bed because of tiredness.

What should you do? You won’t break up your relationship only because something seems to be silly in your girlfriend. And, most importantly, it’s almost not her fault. A clever girl can’t become silly because of living together with a man. And if she behaves as a silly little thing, it’s only because she behaved like that before, too. So it turns out that it’s your fault, because you had to understand her when you were courting her.

There is also a possibility that a woman would say: “God, how stupid I was when I got involved with you!” And become cleverer at once. But a man has to try very hard and overcome himself: not to be vulgar, lazy, untidy and rude.

Some of us still use this good old method to help a woman to “recharge her brains”. But who wins in this case? Honestly, I don’t know…
